Village Streetscape Plan

On August 15, 2019, the Yarmouth Town Council adopted the Main Street Sidewalk and Streetscape Master Plan and Design Recommendations for the Main Street Village, reaching from Latchstring Park at West Elm Street to Marina Road. The purpose of this plan is to improve the function, safety, and attractiveness of Main Street for all its users—from local and thru-traffic drivers to pedestrians and bicyclists and those who use wheelchairs. Sidewalks and crosswalks along Yarmouth’s Main Street, which have deteriorated over the years, will be upgraded to modern standards, and brought into compliance with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These improvements, along with amenities like street trees and improved lighting, will make the village more attractive, safe, and comfortable for Yarmouth residents, businesses, and visitors.

Below, you'll find documents related to the plan. If you have questions, contact Public Works Manager Joe Coulombe at jcoulombe@yarmouth.me.us or at (207) 846-2401.
