Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee

The Plan Yarmouth team is happy to share the first draft of the Comprehensive Plan for your review. This draft will be available for a public comment period from March 15 to April 30. Visit PlanYarmouth.com to read and submit your comments. You can also visit the Town Office to view a paper copy.

The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee will support the Department of Planning & Development and North Star Planning in the preparation of an update to the 2010 Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee is tasked with:

Provide direction to the Department of Planning & Development and the selected consultant in the preparation of the Comprehensive Plan update;
Participate in the development and review of the inventory and analysis of existing conditions in various topic areas;
Participate in the public engagement program;
Along with the general public, refine the vision statement;
Participate in the development of policies, goals, and strategies, and the future land use plan;
Participate in the development of the implementation program; and
Participate in the public presentation of the final draft comprehensive plan.

The Steering Committee typically meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Town Hall Community Room.
